Keeper's Guide to Care
Everyday Wear
Diamond — Mohs hardness 10, the hardest natural substance on earth and entirely resilient to everyday wear. Platinum is likewise one of the most durable of all jewellery metals, holding its form and securing its stones reliably over generations.
To refresh this ring at home, a bowl of lukewarm, mild soapy water and a very soft toothbrush will clear away the dust of history beautifully. The pavé setting holds 27 small stones in close formation — use a gentle touch when cleaning around the head to ensure all stones remain well seated. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners, as the vibrations can loosen older stones in vintage pavé settings.
As with all pieces from the Archive, we recommend an annual professional check-up. A trusted jeweller can ensure all 27 stones remain secure in their settings and that the shank is sound — keeping your ring safe for the journey ahead.
