Terms of Service
Welcome to Ane Antrin. Throughout these Terms, the words "we", "us", and "our" refer to Ane Antrin. We operate this website — including all related information, content, features, and products — to provide you with a curated shopping experience (the "Services"), hosted on a secure third-party e-commerce platform. Please read these Terms carefully. By visiting, interacting with, or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you should not access our Services.
Access & Account
By agreeing to these Terms of Service, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence. You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.
Our Products & the Nature of the Archive
All acquisitions in The Collected Archive are "previously loved" and vary in age. By purchasing, you acknowledge that these pieces possess a "soulful patina," which may include historic repairs, minor gemstone abrasions commensurate with age, or the natural mellowing of pearl lustre — all of which will be noted in the item's description where applicable. We view these as markers of a storied life and a guarantee of authenticity.
Purchases are for personal use only and not for commercial resale.
Orders, Cancellation & Finality of Alterations
When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase. An acquisition is only considered complete once payment is confirmed and the order is accepted by us.
As a consumer purchasing online, you have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving your item without giving any reason, in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. To exercise this right, please contact us at archivist@aneantrin.com within that period. Full details of how to return a piece and receive a refund are set out in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.
Prices & Billing
Prices for our products are subject to change without notice. Unless otherwise expressly stated, posted prices do not include taxes, shipping, handling, customs, or import charges. You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store.
Shipping & Delivery
We strive to ensure your acquisitions reach you swiftly and safely. While we are not liable for delays caused by shipping carriers or customs processing, we accept responsibility for the item until it is successfully delivered to you. All delivery times provided are estimates.
In the rare event of a loss during transit, Ane Antrin will manage the insurance claim and ensure you are fully supported.
Intellectual Property
Our Services — including all trademarks, brands, written content (including "The Keeper's Guide" and "The Sizing Guide"), images, and the "Ane Antrin" name and logo — are owned by Ane Antrin and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You must not reproduce or republish any material from this Archive without our prior written consent.
Errors, Inaccuracies & Expert Opinion
Occasionally there may be information on the website that contains typographical errors or omissions. We reserve the right to correct any errors and to amend information or cancel orders where any information is found to be inaccurate.
Identification: All evaluations, gemstone identifications, and historical dating are provided as professional opinions based on standard gemmological equipment and historical research available at the time of cataloguing. Unless otherwise stated, gemstone weights and grades are estimates calculated within the limitations of the setting.
Photography: Stone hues and saturations can vary slightly depending on the calibration of your viewing screen.
Limitation of Liability & Severability
Ane Antrin provides historic jewellery for decorative and collectible purposes. As these pieces are antique and often made with materials that predate modern treatments (as detailed in our Keeper's Guide), we are not liable for damage caused by modern cleaning methods, chemical exposure, or wear that exceeds the structural limits of an antique piece. By completing an acquisition, the buyer assumes responsibility for the ongoing stewardship of the piece.
In the event that any provision of these Terms is determined to be unlawful or unenforceable, such provision shall nonetheless be enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, and the unenforceable portion shall be deemed severed from these Terms without affecting the validity of the remaining provisions.
Governing Law
These Terms of Service, and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
Force Majeure
Ane Antrin shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms where such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control — including but not limited to acts of God, natural disasters, war, terrorism, civil unrest, fire, floods, pandemics, or shortages of transportation, energy, or materials. In such events, our performance obligations shall be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event.
