Constructed c. late 1940s, this piece is disciplined elegance — one where the cool lustre of 18ct white gold is employed to extend the visual reach of the diamonds beyond what twelve stones might otherwise command. Between each stone, small decorative gold beads punctuate the surface, creating an illusion of density and drawing the eye across the panel in a continuous shimmer.
