The Blue Hour (c. 1915)

Edwardian (1901–1915)
Storied Find #: 031-26
Hand-crafted and assembled in Birmingham, c. 1915, The Blue Hour is a five-stone boat ring in warm 18-carat yellow gold — a form with deep roots in the Victorian era that the Edwardians continued to commission with confidence. Three round-faceted deep blue sapphires graduate gently toward the centre, separated by two rose-cut diamonds. A fine millegrain border traces the perimeter of the setting, and the shoulders are dressed with delicate foliate relief. At over a century old, this ring carries its age with composure.
