Condition
Excellent.
Presents in original condition — no evidence of resizing or repair. The 18ct yellow gold carries the gentlest surface wear consistent with its age, and the hallmarks remain crisp and fully legible. The turquoise, seed pearls, and old-cut diamonds are eye-clean throughout, and all settings are secure. A piece of this age presenting in this state is genuinely rare.
Keeper's Guide to Care
Everyday Wear with Care.
Gemstone Hardness: Diamond — 10 on the Mohs scale (the hardest natural material known). Turquoise — 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale (soft and porous; treat with care). Natural pearl — not rated on the Mohs scale; nacre is delicate and sensitive to acids, chemicals, and abrasion.
This ring's care is governed by its most sensitive residents — the turquoise and the natural pearls. Both are porous and should never be soaked or submerged. They thrive on the natural oils of your skin, so the best care is simply to wear them — they are happiest when they are with you. After wearing, give the ring a gentle wipe with a soft, barely-damp cloth to remove any perspiration, which can be acidic over time. Never use an ultrasonic cleaner or steam cleaner — the vibrations and heat can damage both the turquoise and the pearls irreparably. Keep lotions, perfumes, and cleaning products well away before putting the ring on.
A professional health check once a year is recommended to ensure all settings remain secure and your jewel is ready for the years ahead.
