The Crimson Oath (c.1906)

Edwardian (1901–1915)
Storied Find #: 073-26
Crafted in 1906 and fully hallmarked, this five-stone half-hoop ring presents three vivid rubies flanked by a pair of old-cut diamonds that cool and brighten the arrangement on either side. The 18ct gold mount curves gracefully, its shoulders worked into scrolling forms that speak to its handmade character. Each stone sits within its own claw setting, raised just enough to catch the light. A ring of this warmth was made to be worn close.
Sentimental Token

In the Victorian language of gems — a tradition the early Edwardian period inherited entirely — ruby spoke of passionate love and courage: the stone of the ardent, undaunted heart. Set alongside diamond, the emblem of eternity, this ring says without words that love burns bright and cannot be extinguished.
