Condition
Very Good
Under magnification, the diamonds show no chipping or notable abrasions. The millegrain detailing remains crisp throughout, with only mild softening to the edges nearest the shoulders, honest wear consistent with a century of use. All settings are secure and the piece is fully sound for wear.
Keeper's Guide to Care
Everyday Wear
Diamond, Mohs hardness 10, the hardest natural material known, though the surrounding platinum and gold setting deserves the gentler handling that comes with its age.
Use lukewarm, mild soapy water with a very soft toothbrush for the diamonds, and avoid an ultrasonic cleaner: vintage settings can be loosened by ultrasonic vibration even where the stones themselves would tolerate it. The millegrain detailing is delicate; avoid heavy pressure when cleaning so the crisp, historic edge isn't softened further.
An annual professional check-up is recommended to confirm all six settings remain secure.
