Everyday Wear
Diamond, Mohs hardness 10, the hardest natural material known, though the surrounding platinum and gold setting deserves the gentler handling that comes with its age.
Use lukewarm, mild soapy water with a very soft toothbrush for the diamonds, and avoid an ultrasonic cleaner: vintage settings can be loosened by ultrasonic vibration even where the stones themselves would tolerate it. The millegrain detailing is delicate; avoid heavy pressure when cleaning so the crisp, historic edge isn't softened further.
