A colourless rock crystal of considerable size — round-faceted, clear as glass, and lifted high in an open white gold collet — sits with the easy confidence of an era that lived by the "more is more" principle. The contrast between the cool, luminous stone and the warm yellow gold band gives the piece a two-tone drama that reads as distinctly and deliberately of its decade.
