Under magnification, the gold carries the faintest surface wear consistent with its age; to the naked eye, the piece is clean and bright. The Vivid Gems. Blue topaz appreciates a gentler touch than a diamond. Use lukewarm — never hot — soapy water and a very soft brush for cleaning at home. Avoid ultrasonic cleaners and steam, which can damage the stone. A soft, damp cloth is the safest everyday option.
