The Jubilee

Victorian (1837–1901)
Handmade and cast in 18ct gold, approximately 1880–1900, this crossover cocktail ring carries a diagonal trail of colour across the finger: a deep sapphire settling into a brilliant old-cut diamond, which in turn gives way to a glowing ruby, each stone gathered within its own small cluster of diamonds. Beneath, a triple knife-edge band splits at the shoulders to cradle the diamond clusters. The effect is unmistakably celebratory: a ring built to be noticed, and to mean something.
Sentimental Token

Ruby, sapphire, and diamond together form a well-worn Victorian trilogy: passion, fidelity, and eternity, a complete sentiment in three stones. Rings uniting this palette on the diagonal were a recognisable fashion of the period, and while a connection to one of Victoria's Jubilees cannot be confirmed, the design's popularity during these years of national celebration makes it a fitting echo of the era; whether worn for queen and country or for a private devotion, the sentiment loses none of its beauty. The effect is unmistakably celebratory.
